Project 6

In this project, we explored multiple editing techniques to create gum bichromates, cyanotypes, and wet plate collodians. These techniques were used in the 1800s on physical copies of the photo, but now we can use photoshop to digitally edit a photograph to create the same effect. Gum bichromates use different layers of colors and white boarders, cyanotypes use white boarders and blue tints, and wet plate collodians use textures and dark boarders. This project helped me learn how to use different paint brushes and textures in photoshop to create different effects. I really enjoyed experimenting with the different types of brushes in order to create unique boarders for each photograph.
