In project 8, we explored the different types of portraits and the different ways of shooting them. We learned about different techniques to make portraits more appealing, including good contrast, color schemes, and a specific mood. Additionally, we looked at fine art portraits and commercial portraits. Fine art portraits are shot and edited to express certain feelings and emotions and to tell a story. Commercial portraits are shot to make the viewer want to purchase either the project or magazine due to the interesting photo. I had a lot of fun taking close-ups of my friends and composing different shots to create certain moods.
