The Color and Grids project was about different color schemes and complements, and about repeating the same or different images in a grid to create a new image. The four color schemes that we focused on were color complements, warm colors, cool colors, and monochrome. We kept these different colors in mind as we shot, edited, and formulated our photos, but we were not confined to those colors. These four color schemes allow photographers to look for different color schemes when taking pictures, and also to create them by editing. Grids create an even more complicated and detailed image by creating a new image out of smaller ones, and making an image very interesting for the viewer. This project was a great way to experience creating completely different images just through editing.

Extraterrestrial
I edited this picture to create a sci-fi/space mood. I used the different shades of purple to create this affect, as well as the pink, yellow, and blue in the corners. I used the darkest shades behind the clouds to make it seem like something is appearing out from behind the clouds. This adds a bit of mystery to the photo.
Candy Land
The original photo was very plain with little to no color. I added very bright and saturated colors to the windows and staircase to create a cheerful, magical effect. While I was editing, I had sort of a candy land theme in my head, so I aimed to make it look like a fantasy world.
